SOLAR

Respond to this post with information about solar energy.

  1. The sun produces energy that is clean, free and endless. The energy in the sun is enough to power the entire planet earth until the end of time. The energy from the sun’s light hits an object it creates heat. However, when the sun’s light shine on certain objects, like large silicon crystals, it can be turned into an electrical current. When using the crystals, conversion into electrical energy is generally easy and simple, but they are hard to grow and very expensive. There is another type of crystal called Copper-indium-gallium-selenide that is a less expensive and smaller type that can be formed into film. Unfortunately this type of crystal is not very good at converting the solar energy into electricity. Solar energy is not used as often as, let’s say, wind energy because it is still so expensive, however, scientists are working hard to find ways to harness the suns light to use for electricity.

  2. Solar energy has many great effects like, not using fossil fuels, using the most useful resource we have, and it requires no fuel to power it and, it has no moving parts. The solar energy produces nothing that goes out into the environment; it generates no waste and reduces the use of coal and oil we use.

  3. Solar energy is available just about everywhere on earth. It can provide more than the current demand for energy. It’s not available all day and night.

  4. Solar energy is the most available source of energy for our planet. It is capable of giving us more energy than we even need. Solar energy can only be used when the sun is out, but during those times we can use thermal energy or another type.

  5. Solar power is a resource that will never run out, unlike fossil fuels. Plus, it is important to preserve and protect some of our other natural resources. So solar power is a good source of energy to use in and throughout future generations.

  6. Crystal silicon makes up a solar photovoltaic. It must be negatively or positively charged to produce solar energy.

  7. Solar thermal powers generated when the sun’s rays are absorbed through a specially designed panel. The panels then warm water through a system of panels to create electricity that can be used to power buildings.

  8. Hydrogen will be better for our environment because it lets out water not carbon dioxide, and it would be better for cars rather than gasoline.

  9. Solar panels use the suns energy to convert the energy in to electricity. When the sun’s rays hit the solar panels the panels convert the rays into energy. A solar photovoltaic is consisted of two layers of silicon on them. The first one excites the electrons which makes them flow back to the second layer of silicon. This in turn makes a natural electric current.

  10. There are two types of silicon that works together in transferring sunlight into energy. One of them is N type silicon that has been added with phosphorus and more, and the second is P type which contains boron.

  11. Solar energy is very clean and the U.S. has some of the best solar recourses, and is very cheap compared to fossil fuels. Also solar energy can also be installed almost anywhere.

  12. Sun Power produces almost half more power than other solar systems. Solar Power protects against rising energy costs so you save money.

  13. Sun energy uses almost more than half the power than other systems. Sun energy cuts back on house bills, and there is a lot of it.

  14. Solar power is very useful. It can heat your whole house and your pool. Although if you are going to have solar panels to use solar power it could all be useless because it all is determined by the location, date, and time. If it is winter and there is no sun you could have no power,

  15. When there are a lot of wind turbines in an area it is called a wind power plant or wind farm. They will only work where it is windy. They can range in size from a few megawatts to hundreds of megawatts. They can be made bigger or small as they need to be.
Solar energy is energy that comes from the sun. It will never be subject to ups and downs of the energy markets. It is used to replace the fossil fuels that we currently use and pollute our air and water with, the polluted water threatens public health, and does not help fix global warming.

  16. The solar panels are on the top of the roofs and then the sunlight hits the solar panels and heats up the pump, it sends fluid through it and produces solar hot water heater

  17. Solar water heating is what is added on to your house monthly payment because it warms your water in your home. Along with the laundry water, and many other ways of heating water mostly is used by solar water heating.

  18. Solar energy is one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly alternative energy sources out there. Also with newer and better technology coming out, it is becoming easier and easier to install smaller solar panels everywhere that can produce more electricity. Also by harvesting energy using solar panels, you can sell electricity back to the electric company.

  19. Solar energy is collected by solar panels. Solar panels activate the passive solar energy that sunlight makes and the most popular places that solar panels are placed at in urban areas.

  20. To convert sun light to power protons using their energy to create a electrical current to create power the solar panel gives off

  21. Solar is a ray. It can be converted into energy. There are solar electric systems set up for homeowners, businesses and the government. Solar has traveled around to a bunch of different places.

  22. Solar energy can be very useful for example. Solar cell devices never need to be replaced unless damaged and are very cost efficient when compared to your current energy source.

  23. Solar energy is a ray. Which can be made into energy by using photovoltaic cells made from silicon alloys .

  24. Solar energy can be used to heat homes, buildings in the world.
Solar energy is created by the sun’s hot rays.

  25. Our sun provides energy for solar panels to reduce electrical energy; we are also converting solar energy into electricity. Some other ways to use solar energy are, Solar indoor lights, outdoor lights, passive heat, solar charges for electronics.

  26. In the photovoltaic process is used to generate electricity from sunlight, in the 1950’sthe PV cell was invented, the rural communication system were the first terrestrial technology.

  27. Key: Li = Lithium
    Hi…
Many companies want to expand their energy usage with solar power. With this type of energy you will get it almost all the time. Solar will have the ability to charge batteries and run small electronic devices such as calculators. That saves a lot of Li from entering our landfills.
