HYDROGEN
Respond to this post with information about hydrogen energy.
Hydrogen is an excellent energy resource. It has been proved that an engine that uses pure hydrogen creates very little, if any, pollution. NASA has used liquid hydrogen to propel the space shuttles and all their other rockets into orbit since the 1970’s. The hydrogen fuel cells they use produce pure water and power the shuttles electrical systems. The crew even drinks the water that is produced since it is pure and clean. Fuel cells combine hydrogen and oxygen to create electricity, water and heat and are often compared to batteries though the fuel cells will never lose their charge as long as hydrogen fuel is provided. However, there are disadvantages to Hydrogen. For example, it is extremely flammable and it actually caused the Hindenburg to explode into flames as it was attempting to dock.
Hydrogen gas doesn’t occur naturally on earth so we must make it. The hydrogen atoms can be separated from water, natural gas, or biomass molecules. Steam reforming and electrolysis are the two most common ways to produce hydrogen gas. Some algae even gives those two things off.
Hydrogen fuel cells are capable of being used for not only energy, but for electricity. There are small hydrogen fuel cells, and large ones. The cost for building fuel cells is high, so we won’t have many hydrogen power plants for a while. Few are being used today. For example, some are used for a back-up source of power for hospitals
Hydrogen energy is one of the cleanest energy carriers made from many renewable resources and it can be turned into one of the most useful ways of converting water into useable energy.
Hydrogen is an energy carrier but is not used by many people. Though people do not use it today it is promising for use in the future. Hydrogen is produce from many different sources like water, fossil fuels, or biomass.
Hydrogen energy is produced by the sun’s energy. The sun is basically a giant ball of hydrogen and helium gases. The hydrogen and helium gases being mixed give off the radiant energy.
Hydrogen energy is made from water using solar, nuclear and fossil fuels. It can be changed into energy without hurting the environment. Hydrogen can be used by separating it from other elements, because it can only be found in gas form on earth.
Hydrogen fuel cell operates similar to a battery. Oxygen passes over one electrode and hydrogen passes over the other electrode. To be used as electrical energy the electrons flow out of the cell. Fuel cells never run out, unlike batteries.
Hydrogen fuels can be used for energy and electricity hydrocarbons make up many fuels. Can be separated from hydrocarbons through the application of heat
There is a self contained water generator and a hydrogen fuel generator under a dam. Then both of the gases generated go into the gas or diesel engines. To make a cleaner burn and it is a lot cheaper because it uses less gas. After the engines starts there is a safe process that releases the hydrogen and oxygen into the air.
Using all of the available components to produce environmentally friendly power is a great idea. Not only does this provide heat and electricity but one day soon, it will be the way we fuel cars in the next generation.
Hydrogen energy is made by separating hydrogen from hydrocarbons and hydrocarbons can be found in many organic compounds and contributes to making gasoline, methanol, and propane
The Hydrogen Analysis Resource Center provides documented and reliable data that is used for hydrogen related activities. The data is basis for calculations and other analytical activities. Data is access from databases in spite of itself as well as it is important to other websites. In addition, the website contains several calculator tools that are useful conversions.
Hi… Hydrogen will change how we view making energy with fossil fuels. Hydrogen fuel cells will eventually replace gasoline and diesel. Having so much power that is rechargeable and is confided to such a small space is one of the best things you can have to power sources that need energy.
